HSBC Commercial Banking, a United Kingdom based division of HSBC Holdings Plc, has announced the two new senior executives who are joining the company. The newly appointed managing team members are Jane Galvin and Ian Tandy.

Jane Galvin will act as the head of Corporate Banking, whereas Ian Tandy will be the head of Global Trade and Receivables Finance at HSBC UK. Galvin is joining HSBC UK after having worked at Barclays Corporate Banking, where she held the position of a Managing Director. Tandy, contrarily, has been with the British Banking firm since he joined in 2008.
Galvin has been with Barclays Corporate Banking between September 2006 and May 2017, where she held several director and management positions over the years. In addition, she went to Cranfield University’s School of Management.
Tandy worked as the Co-Head Corporate Banking in the London Region since November 2014 before stepping into his new role. He had also filled different management positions in the eight years he has been working at HSBC.
A week ago, Finance Magnates covered HSBC’s announcement regarding the development of its version of the robo-advisor. The automated algorithm, once up and running, will offer finance oriented advice based upon the client’s individual financial situation. Another significant advantage of the algorithm will the expanding of wealth management availability to customers with relatively smaller investment accounts.
Finance Magnates further reported the ECU Group’s demand for HSBC to disclose the internal records relevant to three significant forex orders, that were executed back in 2006.
